Marketing Specialist Vacancy

Vacancy
Suitably qualified and eligible mid-level candidates (3 - 7 years’ experience) are invited to apply for a permanent vacancy for a Marketing Specialist within our organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, the key responsibilities for the Marketing Specialist role include but are not limited to:
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy aligned with the organization's goals to position JA South Africa as the thought leader in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.
Create and implement outreach strategies to connect with potential funders and partners, including fundraising initiatives/events, meetings, and presentations.
Create and share educational content tailored to different youth segments to support program engagement and visibility
Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels.
Produce a monthly newsletter featuring updates, success stories, and upcoming events.
Create and publish thought leadership pieces that establish the organization as an expert in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.
Develop communication plans aligned to partnership agreements.
Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
Initiate and coordinate interviews to increase the organization's publicity.
Plan and execute events, webinars, and other activities to promote the organization's initiatives and thought leadership.
Monitor and analyse marketing and communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.
Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure the Annual Report is of a high quality and incorporates all the required elements.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
3 - 7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing and communication strategies.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
Experience with media relations and stakeholder engagement.
Skills
Knowledge of digital advertising tools as well as familiarity with CRM tools.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using marketing analytics tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in graphic design software
Skilled in website editing and management.
Remuneration
The role is pegged at a negotiable total cost to company salary of R400,000 per annum, inclusive of standard employee benefits.
