INVESTEC’S #GIVE4IMPACT EMPOWERS OVER 300 GRADE 8 LEARNERS WITH FINANCIAL LITERACY SKILLS
Thanks to the continued support of Investec’s #Give4Impact Employee Contributions, Junior Achievement South Africa successfully implemented the JA More Than Money programme at Moletsane High School in Soweto.
Through this initiative, over 300 Grade 8 learners were introduced to key financial literacy and entrepreneurship concepts. The programme equipped them with practical skills to earn, save, spend wisely, and identify business opportunities in their everyday environment.
Delivered through interactive activities and relatable real-life scenarios, the sessions not only strengthened learners’ understanding of money management but also inspired a mindset shift, encouraging them to see themselves as future entrepreneurs and active contributors to South Africa’s economy.
We are deeply grateful to Investec and its employees for investing in the future of young South Africans and for helping us inspire and prepare the next generation of financially savvy, entrepreneurial youth.
“The board game was my highlight! I enjoyed learning what businesses go through. I now understand why business owners open early, because if they are late, they may lose customers.”
– Rethabile Mlotshwa, Grade 8 learner
