TRAINING THE TRAINERS: JA SOUTH AFRICA EQUIPS PARTNERS TO INSPIRE YOUTH IN 2025
The energy was high, the passion was palpable, and the commitment to youth empowerment stood stronger than ever. The JA South Africa Train the Trainer workshops recently took place — and what a remarkable three days they were!
Over 40 of JA South Africa’s dedicated implementing partners — including agents, champion teachers, and community development leaders — came together to collaborate, share insights, and prepare to bring JA’s powerful programmes to life for young people nationwide in 2025.
These workshops were more than just training sessions. They became a celebration of partnership, purpose, and the incredible people who make it all possible.
Why Train the Trainer Matters
At the heart of JA South Africa’s mission lies a simple but powerful idea: empowering young people through education in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. However, to reach learners in classrooms and community centres, JA relies on the passion and expertise of its implementing partners — those on the ground, engaging directly with the youth.
The Train the Trainer workshops equipped partners with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to deliver impactful learning experiences. By exploring JA’s educational methodology and facilitation best practices, the sessions aligned everyone around a shared goal—igniting ambition in the hearts of South African youth. The workshops also introduced the annual theme, Build Thriving Communities!, highlighting best practices across departments to ensure cohesive implementation.
A Community of Collaborators
It was inspiring to witness the spirit of collaboration that emerged. Participants exchanged ideas, built relationships, and reminded one another of the bigger picture: preparing young people with the skills they needed to thrive in a changing world.
Whether it was a seasoned programme agent sharing stories from the field or a new champion teacher soaking in the training with wide-eyed enthusiasm, each voice added to the rich tapestry of the JA community.
